Is Kanbedu free?
Yes. Students never pay, and lecturers get boards, classes, groups and all three monitoring panels free for up to 3 active classes. Lecturer Pro adds grading export, more active classes and semester-to-semester tools, and is open through a waitlist for now. See pricing.
Do students have to install anything?
No. Kanbedu runs in the browser on a laptop or a phone. Students sign up with their email and join a class from the link or QR code their lecturer shares.
Is it only for computing courses?
No. Any course with group projects fits. You set the columns and starter tasks once in the class's board template, and each new group's board starts from it.
What can a lecturer see?
Every group's board, plus a class Overview of each group's progress and who needs a hand, Unusual Activity for tasks with an unusual history, and Participation for how active each student has been. They show activity, not grades.
Can I teach a class with other lecturers?
Yes. Invite co-teachers by email or with a link, and make one a coordinator to help run the class. Giving a co-teacher the whole class is free. Picking specific groups for each one is part of Lecturer Pro.
What happens at the end of the semester?
Archive the class to keep everything without cluttering your list, or clone it so next semester starts with the same groups and board template. Both are part of Lecturer Pro.
