Reliability Update
This update doesn't add anything new. It's a pass through the parts of the app that were working but not quite right, making them behave the way you'd expect.
Smarter group search
The group search in Monitor and Integrity now suggests the right group when your search doesn't match exactly. If you type something close but not quite right, like a partial name or a typo, it looks at the existing group names and points you to the closest one instead of just saying nothing was found. Typing “4” will point you to “Group 4” if that's what exists, so you don't have to remember the exact spelling or numbering your co-teacher used.
Deadline timing
Tasks were showing as overdue from midnight on the deadline day, which meant something due today was already flagged red before most people had started their day. A task is now only overdue after the deadline day has fully passed.
Faster page loads
Board and dashboard pages were making more database queries than they needed to. We cut out a batch of redundant ones and added a couple of missing indexes, so these pages now load noticeably faster.
Stale group data after roster changes
Monitor and Integrity stay loaded in the background so switching tabs feels instant, but that meant moving a student between groups in Roster wouldn't show up there until you refreshed the page. Both panels now update automatically the moment a group changes.
Cloning classes with co-teachers
Cloning a class with co-teachers no longer demotes them. They keep their educator role in the new class.
More reliable rate limits
Login and signup limits are now enforced more accurately when a lot of requests arrive at once.
